900+ new quotes have been added to the Q2 Quotes Database. The site design and backend have been tweaked too.

11/6/2007 - Search box added
A search box has been added to each page if you're using the Simple or Bash.org themes. If you're using the Original or Lo-Fi theme then there's a Search link at the top of each page. The search results page has had a new coat of paint too.

7/6/2007 - Theme bugfix
Another bug in the theme code has been fixed. That'll teach me to test fully ;). Everything should be just fine and dandy now!

5/6/2007 - New theme, theme bugfix
The default theme has been changed from Original to Simple'n Clean, but there was a bug in the theme code that sometimes showed the new theme only on the home page, and showing the old theme on the other pages. This has been fixed. Also, there is a fresh new theme called One! Just select "One" from the drop-down above to select the new theme.

30/5/2007 - Formatting error fixed
Spaces at the beginning and end of quotes have been removed. E.g. " blah, blah, blah " -> "blah, blah, blah". The quotes in the full text have been randomly sorted again too. Also, the random quotes generater will not add a newline to the ends of quotes anymore.

More than 2000 quotes have been added to the Q2 Quotes Database.

18/5/2007 - Website fixes
The URL for the Q2 Quotes Database is now http://q2.bloople.net. Quite a few bugs (displaying themes, broken links, random.php not working fully) have been fixed, and hopefully Q2 should remain stable from now on.

20/3/2006 - Theme switching bug fixed
There was a bug that caused the theme to not change properly, when someone clicked on the link to switch themes. This bug has been fixed, and the Q2 Quote Database should be bug free.

9/1/2006 - Full text and sources link changes
Babyurl.com provided a URL redirection service that the Q2 Quotes Database used. Babyurl.com shut down a couple of weeks ago. Links to the full text of the Q2 Quotes Database, and links to the sources for quotes have been changed. Also, the sources link in the menu at the top of the page has been changed to fix a bug.

30/11/2005 - Q2 Quotes Database modification.Theme bugfix
The Q2 Quotes Database is going to be changed over the next few weeks to remove some boring or "dumb" quotes and add in some better ones. Last minute: I have fixed a major bug in the theme code.

I have added a cookie that saves the last theme you used, so that when you go back to the site, you'll see the same theme you used last time. I've also fixed a bug with theme changing that was present if you were using a theme different from the standard one, and you wanted to switch to another theme.

I have made a new theme for Q2 called Simple. I've also changed the link to the full text of the Q2 Quotes Database so it doesn't appear inside the theme.

11/11/2005 - Full Text link change
I've (today and yesterday) changed the link to the full text of the Q2 Quotes Database to point to the copy on this webserver instead of an external copy. I've done this for easier maintenance of the database.

A quotes rating system has been added to the website. The system will be removed if it is abused. The rating system does not affect the full text quotes database, only this website.

Links have been added and pre-existing links have been bolded to improve the availability of the quotes sources information. The Developers page has been reorganised as well.

A Bash.org version of the site has been created. This gives the site a similar look and feel to Bash.org Quotes Database (beta).

A couple of bugs that were introduced a couple of days ago have been fixed. There is a Lo-fi version of the site now available (beta).

The Q2 logo has been modified, and the website no longer uses CSS hacks. A link to the full text of the Q2 Qotes Database was added to the front page.

1/10/2005 - Website design, programming change
The website has been changed over the past few days to make it more attractive. I changed the logo, and also changed the stripe I added yesterday. A gradient at the top of each quote was added as well, and the page now displays quotes esing div tags instead of tables. The way quotes are returned was also changed, so that you won't get duplicate quotes on the same page.
